Madison, NJ - Juniata QB Jamie Campbell completed 18 of 30 passes for 248 yards and four touchdowns to lead Juniata College over Fairleigh Dickinson University 30- 0 in Madison. The Devils end the season at 2-8, while the Eagles finish at 5-5.
FDU marched 68 yards on five straight rushes in its opening drive to advance to the Juniata six yard line, but could not finish the series and was stopped on fourth down. FDU would get no closer for the rest of the contest.
The Eagles scored on their second drive when Campbell found Lucas Kelleher for a 51 yard touchdown with 6:47 to go in the first quarter. Kelleher was good on the extra point and Juniata took a 7-0 lead. The Eagles took over on the 50 for their next drive and scored when Campbell hit Matt Eisenberg for an eight yard toss with 3:07 on the first quarter clock. Kelleher's kick was good and Juniata led 14-0.
Juniata wasted no time in the second half, scoring on a 50 yard pass to Eisenberg with 12:54 left in the third period. Juniata increased its lead when Devils QB Mark Pollifrone dropped back out of the end zone to give the Eagles a safety and a 23-0 advantage with 5:28 to play in the third quarter. Juniata took over on its 46 yard line following the free kick and went 54 yards for its last score. Campbell found Andrew Radomsky for an eight yard score with 1:12 remaining in the third. After Kelleher's kick, the Eagles led 30-0.
Senior tailback Bill Bachman led the FDU offense with 70 yards rushing on 15 carries. Pollifrone completed 10 of 27 passes for 100 yards and one interception. Junior wide receiver Fred Peters caught three passes for 39 yards. Junior tackle Sanford Cosenzo made seven hits, and a sack of 11 yards. Junior LB Tom Pouliot finished with 17 tackles to give him a school record 159 on the season. Pouliot continued his assault on the FDU record books and now has the second highest tackle total for a career (290), along with an assortment of other records.
